- Wood framing: can hold moisture longer and may require continued monitoring.

Why moisture readings matter

What equipment is commonly used?
Air movers help increase evaporation from wet materials. Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air so that evaporation can continue efficiently. The number and placement of machines depend on the size and layout of the affected area.
Can drying be rushed?
Turning equipment off too early can leave moisture behind. At the same time, unnecessary equipment should not remain once the drying goal has been reached. A measured approach is better than guessing.
